In 2016, following recording of Foo Fighters album 'Concrete And Gold' which featured several songs with huge, almost orchestral vocal arrangements on several songs, the band decided that they would go on tour with dedicated backing vocalists for the first time. Laura was one of three vocalists hired for the role and he would remain in that role until 2022, performing at over 150 shows. Following the death of Taylor Hawkins, Laura joined the band for the final time at his tribute concerts in London and Los Angeles, after which the band decided to start afresh and not continue with backing vocalists.
