Bio
Taylor Hawkins was the heartbeat and seemingly endless energy source of Foo Fighters for 25 years. Beginning his rise as Sass Jordan’s drummer and increasing his profile by joining Alanis Morissette’s touring band, Taylor was poached by Foo Fighters in 1997. His explosive and intricate drumming style, along with his influence in the band’s stage presence and focus, accelerated their growth into arenas and ultimately stadiums.
When not on the drum stool, Taylor also contributed songs and vocals, most notably In Your Honor’s ‘Cold Day in the Sun’ and Concrete and Gold’s ‘Sunday Rain’. He continued to be a great draw-card to their live shows before his tragic passing in 2022.
Outside of Foo Fighters, Taylor left a legacy as an active collaborator and front man, leading his own projects such as Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders, The Birds of Satan, NHC, and hard rock cover band Chevy Metal.
