Dave Grohl makes a cameo appearance in the Going, Going, Gonzo episode of the 2015 rebooted TV series, The Muppets. The episode features Miss Piggy hosting her late-night TV show 'Up Late with Miss Piggy' with Dave and several other muppets appearing as the musical guest. Dave and the band play along to the studio version of 'Learn To Fly'.

In the closing credits of the episode two drumming heavyweights finally face off as Dave and muppet Animal compete in a drum battle.
