Dave Grohl was tasked with hosting the Jimmy Kimmel show whilst Jimmy was on leave. As it happened to be the Halloween episode of the show Dave dressed as former rival host David Letterman, complete with full grey beard.

Guests on the show were Alice Cooper and Kristen Bell, the latter dressing up as Magnum P.I. and Alice not needing to change his usual attire to fit right in. Never one to miss an opportunity Dave performed with both guests, first playing drums whilst Bell sang 'Do You want to build a snowman?' from Frozen and then when it came time for Cooper to perform at the end of the show Dave and the entire Foo Fighters guested as his backing band.

In typical Alice Cooper fashion the show ended with Dave being fake beheaded, Cooper holding a 3D sculpture of Dave's head as the credits rolled.
