Walking A Line

Something of an unconventional music video in the sense that it was created for a B-Side, not a promotional single, and was never broadcast. The video for ‘Walking A Line’ consisted of a mixture of backstage and behind-the-scenes footage shot by Dave Grohl’s wife Jordyn across 2002 and 2003 interspersed with live footage of their July 12th, 2002 show at the Ambassador Theatre in Dublin, Ireland.

Each clip of footage shot by Jordyn is brief with scenes including soundchecks at various shows, Dave riding a scooter in an empty arena before a show, another with his dog, various band members with their family and friends and various other candid videos such as photoshoots for magazines. Most of the footage was shot in England and Ireland in early/mid 2002 but some clips may have been from other regions and time periods.

The footage was edited together by Chris Osterhus and included on special editions of the One By One album released in 2003 which included a DVD featuring several music videos.

Despite this video being produced the band have never played the song live.
